Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. She grew up listening mostly to classical music, old boleros, as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana enjoys tangos and drama and opera. Ana began learning to play the piano and sing at an early age alongside her mother. The formal vocal training when she was 16 years old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. The School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. In her early career, she included performances with a variety of chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara. After 2000, she emigrated back to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she settled in her home in southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist in classical Latin American music at private occasions. The passion and love she has for art, music, and performing keeps her involved with many local organizations as a performer and teacher. Ana was also a part of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is now a teacher of The Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to be able share with others her passion for traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can inspire younger generations to continue the tradition.
